Our palmyra climbers collect Palmyra Sap and process that to make variety of products, themselves.
Our ingredients and processes are 100% natural and chemical-free.
Though Palmyra Sap collection is seasonal in an year, we do preserve the derived products in traditional methods.
Palm Jaggery
Neithal Palmyra climbers are experts in producing authentic palm jaggery for ages.
Palmyra Sap is collected from palm tree over night, in mud pots whose inner wall is coated with Shell Lime (Sippi Sunnambu)
Collected palmyra sap is filtered and boiled in a specially built pan, until sweet content takes a pasty shape (Panampaagu / Kooppatheneer).
Golden brown coloured sap is poured into similar sized specially made coconut shells and let to dry.
Dried and cube shaped, Palm Jaggery is ready.

Neithal Panai Angaadi was formally established with the objectives of supporting Palmyra artisans to continue to be in business and spread social awareness on Palmyra culture. Neithal as a manufacturing establishment run by few selected Palmyra artisans, ensures customers get quality products at fair-price, with lesser handshakes in-between. Partnering with NPA means partnering with farmers directly.
